Other guides?
Was thinking about maybe putting up some other guides....maybe fow, doa, deep, urgoz, and/or uw. Is there any interest in this? Is there more interest for one area vs another? Let me know what ya'll think. Atm I am leaning towards FoW, but that's just me. ~TC and HF~

Essence - do you think its possible to get guides that cover both sc ( which most ppl want ) and a normal guide that covers a normal way of doing things. Not everyone wants to sc and a non sc guide could also get others interesting in those place.

I'd like to see some balanced stuff. Maybe not whole builds, but skill recommendations and tips related to ones chosen profession.

The problem with a guide for fow is that, well, fow isnt hard. There's no real need for a guide because almost any random idiot can pick it up and be as good as your average pug just by watching youtube. Sure, there are a couple of tricks that can help a run go faster, but not really enough for a full guide.

Fow guide even if ppl say its easy would be usefull - Uw has always had a guide and im sure even fow for first few times isnt going to be easy.Im sure many veteran players will say uw isnt hard but what puts off many players is the team fail = instant removal and we all know any guide ( even if its just a slight walkthrough for quests ) is always a useful thing .Look at cerbs uw guide - when it was written a few years ago it gave great help to many players who tho the guide was written for 55/ss team it was easily usable for all uw ( before dhuum etc ) and for many it was like the "Uw Bible" and helped many experience uw.
And at the end of the day the guides are here for the community not for individual players and the more ppl who reads/uses the guides the more players who over time will be doing uw/fow etc which means in time better experienced players.

Ok so from what I am getting is that there is an interest in general guides. That actually perplexes me. I don't really know how to explain how to complete areas via randomway if you will, since there are soo many options. For the most part, that information can be found on wiki... ie tips, bosses, foes, and notes. Please let me know more specifically what in terms of general guides ya'll are interested in.

"Randomway" would be like - take cerbs uw guide which was written for 55/ss duo but was written in such a way it gave a walkthru on things that could be applied to random builds.
The old ice king quest in uw ( before anet split the spawns ) is gd example as no matter which team you were in (non sc) you saw how to cope with the spawns and what to expect. Most guides start off as a normal guide till it gets converted to a sc or a set type of build - locations, foes, what quests should be done first or left till last. Also a general guide doesnt need to include actual builds but im sure as soon as others jump aboard there can be general guides which can be converted for more specialised builds and then posted.

I agree with this completely. Guru, in complete contrast to wartower (essentially the german equivalent) has very high-end PvE guides.
As an example:
http://www.wartower.de/forum/showthread.php?t=810491
http://www.wartower.de/forum/showthread.php?t=559781
I think these are pretty stupid in all honestly, attempting to explain every detail of an area just leaves you with a 6000 page long essay of which only 5% has any use to any particular person.

I'd agree that wiki gives most of the info needed to start a balanced group. Maybe start with FoW and see where it takes you. There's probably already something on guru but start with a list of the quests needed to clear and the preferred order of completion for those new to FoW. Add in a few tips on places where a wipe could happen more frequently. Maybe a few skills that can help the run go faster or maps with routes. If I can find more time I'll go through with you to make some notes if you need Snow.
For those that have never done it, FoW really isn't too bad. 2 or more people with discord heroes can clear it on NM so that means 90% of the GW population has the ability to do it if they try.

Do an updated guide for Tombs, B/P that was the funest thing ive ever done in Guild Wars (Not saying update B/P, just figure something out as awsome and updated like errrrr Scythe Eles with an Imba, Order, No Emo cause of enchant removal BUT WELL YOU GET THE IDEA! welcome to pm me to join in xD). If you say Mesmerway though, i will be forced to hunt you down and kill you... very...very painfully.
I would also look in "other guides" to contain such information which is not so one track, as in it should be multi proffesional, or a variety of options etc. Like idk an Ether Prism tank or some crazy shit like that incase a sin isnt available or an Ether Prism signed up first. WHATEVER again you get the idea
